Dixon
Go for the lower numbers 75,74,73 etc. These are better than the ones in the cove as far as bugs go. Also I believe the pavillion will be closer to the lower #s. Bushwacker some of the sites have room for two boats to beach. |

Longpoint has some interesting rules.
They allow one tent or RV per site, if you have more, they charge more. Some sites, you can fit 2 boats in, easily, so if your staying on the boat, they don't really seem to care. They have a trailer/car storage area, so you can ditch the trailer there. When I stay on the boat, I usually just get an "additional car" pass for a site where someone I know is staying, and stay on the boat. Skiblet is right, if you can, you want to try and get the lower number ones in the 70's or 60's. |

question, mapquest sends me north all the way to 528 but 192 through St Cloud sure is a more direct route, how bad is that through there

Ok Boys & Girls,
For those that want to have a motel with dockage call these people. right now they are about 80% booked for April 11 & 12. They are on the mainland side off US-1 about 3.5 miles by water to Long Point Park. Again do not put off making your reservations here as well. Sportsman's Motel & Marina I will continue searching for additional locations... I have not contacted these people, but 6.5 miles North of the Inlet / 5.5 miles to Long Point on the Ocean. Looks like a nice place. Surf Caster Motel See ya, Ken

I thought we were reserving docks - and they said "we don't have any docks" So I asked: so where are all these SeaCraft people putting their boats? "They are campsites - what do you have, an RV or a trailer?" I replied: A Suburban with a mattress, I guess... So where do I put the boat? "How big is your boat?" 23 feet. "Oh that's a big one!" I said all these boats are either 20 or 23 feet. Is this LongPoint? "You pull your boat up to the camp site"
It never occurred to me. So, let me get this strait, I drive 1317 miles (about 20 hours 35 minutes) towing a 5000 pound package and I have to put a $2,000 bottom job on the beach for 2 days and sleep in the back of my truck? Next you're going to tell me about humidity, bugs and freakin jelly fish, not to mention sun burning my butt that won't have seen the light of day in 6 months. Anything else I should know? I'll be in "slip" 84...
