Default Northstar 660 gps/sonar combo ?

Anyone out there familier with the Northstar sonars and Gps units?
I have a chance to pickup a combo unit for a good price, and was wondering how the performance and quality of them compares to other brands, such as Garmin,Furuno etc.

Currently,i'm running seperate Garmin Gps and sonar units, and although i love the Garmin GPS,i'm not thrilled with the sonar.

This would be going on my Tsunami,so i figured that it would fit nicely on the dash.

It's 600 watts dual freq,so it's pretty powerful for the money (700 bucks)far less than other brands with the same features.

If anyone can shed any info, either good or bad, like resolution of the sonar, sunlight visibility, and overall performance of the GPS and Sounder features,it would be appreciated very much. Thanks all
