Default O.B. water over the transom

is there a problem with the 23 spectre without a bracket, just the low cut straight transom, having water sloshing in when you slow down, or in a heavy sea? Ihave noticed soom o.b. with a bucket on hinges, is that there to help with that problem?

It has a splashwell, I had a 650# V8 on mine with no problems at all with the scuppers, as stated a couple V6's would add another couple hundred #'s
