Thanks Frank! I've got a 1992 Jeep Comanche with the 4.0L HO motor . . . it's got no problem pulling my seacraft, but it's not so good stopping. It gets tossed around and the gas mileage while towing is about 10mpg . . . Other than that I love it. I even had 4.5 150 - 200 outboards in the back before.

I'm looking for something bigger and better on fuel when I'm towing.

Towing isn't the problem for most vehicles, it's stopping the rig that scares me

I found this picture on another site (forget the text as I have no idea what that is about) but note the tow vehicle and that boat is a BW 25 outrage with twin V6 200's, That boat has to come in more than 7500lbs from what I have read the owner towed that boat all over the US with the caddy.

You could arrive in style at Long Point, FL.
in the spring.
Don't forget to pick-up Strick and the misses on your way.

I can see your into big body cars. Maybe a nice big-body Mercedes Diesel. Plenty of tourqe to pull the car plus great fuel efficiency.

They are very reasonable on the used market and would feel really nice after a hard day getting beat up, they have very soft seats -go for it.

My dad might make a deal on a good Lincoln if you do not like Cads, we have had to take his car keys from him due to bad driving.

My 95 Grand Cherokee had standard rear antilock with the optional rear disc-brakes. It stopped pretty well, even pulling the camper.
