Default Rewiring advice needed.

My CC looks like a big birds nest inside with about 30+ wires going into about 8 fuses. I've got a stereo, vhf, radar, 2 bilge pumps, 2 gps units, 3 batteries, running lights, spotlight, baitwell, cigarette lighter, anchor light, compass,Garmin blackbox sounder, sitex sounder, fuel and hour guage.....that's all I can think of for now.

Are there any good websites or books to help guide me on cleaning up my mess? Thanks! Brian

Doing the same myself - may be more book than you want by I really like "Boatowner's Mechanical and Electrical Manual" by Nigel Calder. Just over $30 hardcover at the online booksellers. Well written and great for troubleshooting DC systems.

I just got a book from Amazon, less that $10.00

Understanding Boat Wiring
"John C. Payne"

Might want to give that a try.

I would recomend "Powerboater's Guide to Electrical Systems' by Ed Sherman. It covers all the subjects in an easily understandable form. Used it to rewire my 18'last spring.
