Default Re: can i put twin motors on a 23' seacraft 1977 ?

The 23' was rated for 500 hp from 1979 through 1984 that I know of, and perhaps beyond that date. At Waterway Marina in PBG, FL, we rigged several 23's with twin 235's back in the early 80's, and even rigged one Sceptre with twin Merc 3.4 liter 300's in 1986. We made the owner actually push the bolts through the motors, though. That didn't last long, about 3-4 months. He kept blowing the powerheads, and eventually sold the boat without motors, whereupon we put twin 140 Evinrudes on it.

Jesus liked fishing, too. He even walked on water to get to the boat!
