Default Aluminum trailer

I have a continental aluminum float on trailer that i purchased 4 years ago, it was one year old at that time and nearly perfect. The problem is, as time has gone on it has become rather pitted. It is always washed after use and i have tried cleaners and what not but no luck. Any body have any thoughts on this one? Thanks
