You can weld a broken fin for cheap. Those things should not be deal breakers. Turn key is above $ 4500. Ask him to take $$ off for the repair. I would still buy it at that price unless there is a transom problem(shouldn't have one on that yr 18SF)

So just got back from checking it out in person and turns out it's an 83' boat with an 84' yamaha 115 that starts right up, although there is a chip of one of the fins on the lower unit (about an inch or so in diameter). The transom is in good condition, hull is in good condition and the deck is in good shape. Just one spot behind the rear seat next the the rear baitwell that might be a little soft. Trailer in good condition, new lights just need some tires. So, after all that said gonna off 3500, see what he says.

The forward "baitwell" doesn't drain in ANY of them, that's why mine got re-routed back through a macerator. Whether it be an 18' or 20', when you stand close enough to pull the drain plug, the drain is below sea level. That 18' you're looking at doesn't have anything wrong in that department, it's a normal one

If the boat is otherwise in decent shape and the engine runs well, $4100 is priced pretty well actually. If that's the model of boat you want, that price shouldn't be an obstacle.
