I have a 23 WA with a 300HP Bravo 1.....I easily get 2.7mpg with a 15 pitch Rev 4....and that's on an 18 degree deadrise rounded keel 4700lbs dry weight boat. The steeper deadrise is against you, but the lighter weight and sleeker torpedo I think will go more in your favor. I bet you can get 3+ mpg......
of the alpha might balance even more in you favor

I relooked at my numbers....with the 15 pitch Rev4 the at 3600rpm it's using 10.5gph at 28mph for 2.59mpg. That's the cruise RPM on the engine and about the peak on efficiency. I'm going to try a 16 pitch Enertia to see if it improves any without losing too much of the bite I get from the Rev4. Those MPIs really sip the fuel.....at trolling speeds it's just a couple gph.

Not sure what you're talking about...?? I have the "Horizon" fresh water cooled engine...it has an air pump to open valves to drian the raw water side. My older engine had the blue plugs you had to manually unscrew to drain the block. Can you post a photo.....or you can go to www.go-fast.com with you engine serial number and do a serach for parts with pictures and get the cooling system diagram. Definitely get a merc factory service manual......
