Pinholes

what are some solutions for pinholes. The parts I've made and places I've re-glassed have pinholes. Is a primer the answer to the problem? Tom at Signature Paints tells me not to prime but I'm thinking some parts I may need to.

I used evercoat 400.

You can also brush on some thickened gelcoat.

Before painting mine with Sig Finish I filled, sanded and faired any pinholes or other surface imperfections. You can also (I believe I remember Tom telling me this) fill the very small imperfections with thickened Sig Finish paint.. I did not prime and after several years the boat still looks great.. The right way would be to fill, sand and fair.. Best of luck..

I used System Three's "QuikFair" and pin holes were almost zero.

I used quickfair on my transom rebuild very easy to work with...

I'm pretty sure that system three recommends coating quickfair with resin prior to paint..
