Default Thru the floor scuppers

Question for anyone with a 23 with the thru deck scuppers.
I didn't want to hijack abl1111's thread but i have a similar question.
How much of a nuisance are the thru floor scuppers?I'm finishing up my 74 Tsunami, with a 350 merc I/O,and i kept the floor scuppers.
It's one of those things that is always in the back of my mind, wondering if i made a huge mistake by not putting them out the transom.

Now i have almost everything done, engine is in drive is on. No room to do it now, especially now with the bilge area all filled up with everything, and also that i replaced both wooden blocks under the decks, and glassed the livin daylights out of them.Removing them?,"yuk!

Do they drain while trolling? what about using a wash down while trolling, will the water drain out?,or am i looking foward to standing in water?
Not a lot of fun in april when the water temp is in the thirties.

All we do is troll,(salmon fishing)we never drift or anchor,so i guess if it's not raining,i can leave the plugs in,until it comes time to wash all the blood off the deck, and then hope it drains out while trolling.

My current boat,(22' Trophy),has scuppers out the transom, and they work ok,not great, but ok.We fish the great lakes, snotty conditions many times, steep waves,(3'to 6')very close together.Have i made a big mistake by not moving the scuppers?.
Any info is appreciated,thanks all.
