I have a 1998 23' SeaCraft. People bash the newer hulls. I love the boat, and have not had a problem with it. It is solid and built well. From some of the comments you read you figure the newer seacrafts will just fall apart sitting on a trailer or rip in half in a 2’ chop. Not the case. From what I’ve seen the price you quoted is quite low. If everything checks out with the surveyor go for it.

If you want a 23' boat, that's about as good a deal as you'll find for $15K.
Disregard the old vs. new threads, there were 'classic' hulls that fell apart and there are '98's that are great (as well as every other Tracker/BPS year). |

I have a 1989 23WA and it has been a super boat. I just repowered with a new Honda 225 HP. Haven't had much chance to run it, just barley 2 hours on it. I paid more for that engine than you would be paying for the whole boat. I consider that a super deal. If that is the type of boat you want, you better jump on it before some else puts money in his hand.

Actually the new boats have been quite good, I really have only heard on 1 maybe 2 that had any problems and that was a bunch of years ago. The new boats also have the advantage of newer technoligy(sp) and materials, the Potter boats were handmade becuase thats the best way you could make them.
As far as I'm concerned you can get any stickers you want, you have become a big fan and supporter of SeaCrafts.
