Rebuilt powerhead alone for that size/era motor is being sold all over the web for $2000-2500.
Can't even find a solid, running 150 from that era for less than 2K. Of course it depends where you are and if there is enough demand in your market for used motors. Even though gas is high, it's even harder for many to justify 15k for a new rig so I'm guessin' no matter where you are, there's someone looking for a solid older 200 Evinrude. I think 1K is a lowball figure... There's one on ebay listed for $2500. Post it on the nearest metro boattrader or craigslist for 2500 or so, and see what kind offers your get. Maybe I'm high, but no sense in leaving money on the table.
