Default 1979 sc cc w/ jackshaft

Anyone here have any insight or opinion about the jackshat cc model. I recently found one for sale that is far from finished for 3000.00. I dont think seacraft made many of these and I am worried that there is a reason for that. Its a 23' center console with the engine under the console and a shaft under the deck to a alpha 1 outdrive. The boat looks pretty rough but the stringers, deck and transome have been redone. The work on the deck looks good except for the compartment lids. Any thoughts? Thanks, Brad

I have a 1979 jackshafted diesel that was converted to outboards. Of all the comments I have heard, the main one was that they were noisy if the shaft needed work. There were no real problems with this rare model. The reason that few were sold was because it was a certain buyer that wanted the set-up and its benefits. The maintenance was greater too. 3K is a great price. Got any pictures??
