Default hynautic steering needs help

i have a leaking helm the model is a h51 does anyone know if they are rebuildable or if there is anyone that does it its leaking out of from behind the wheel and i can't afford to get a new one i'm already over budget outfitting the boat
does anyone have a good old one they want to sell i'm trying find out what my options are so i can finally get out on the water

the helm is pretty easy to rebuild. a seal kit for it was like 20 or 25 dollars. i helped a friend rebuild his in about 30 minutes.

was it a h51? any problem areas in the resealing of it i've seen that they are "not for the do it yourself guys" what ever that means

thats the same diagram that the kit came with. you should not be afraid of it. we didnt need any special tools or anything. just be sure to have something down on your table because its going to have fluid in it.

thanks i just pulled the helm and there is alot of play in the shaft so i might have a new shaft put in as well as the support bearings i'll know better when i look inside
