The 200 HDPI is one of Yamaha's best engines made. You see a-lot of 26 Regs with those motors because the are the best match for the boat. The boat wasn't designed for 4 strokes and pre-2001 had the older bracket that did not have the added floatation for the heavy 4's. The boat is balanced better with the HDPI even with the new bracket.

Currently, I have twin 200 OX66's that I baby and plan to drive for a long time. When they go I will probably go with HPDI's. They are lighter and more fuel efficent than the OX66's. Aalso, they will be a lot cheaper (as opposed to something like e-TECS.)
By the way Jeff, I think that you have blown by me in your boat several times this year. Once time I think that I was sea bassing on Sandy Hook Reef. You're not the only one though. Two weeks ago Stoney and his buddy acted like total strangers out on the Garden State North reef. And the weird thing was Stoney's buddy was wearing one of the CSC shirts that I made in 2005. Peter

Peter:
I generally look at SeaCrafts...give me a wave or call 'J2' on 63/65, usually 65. I ran to Monsters Ledge on Sat, no fish, lots of life. If you want to 'pair' up for a run out to Mud Hole anytime let me know!
