IMO is is a very large range (from free to $15k+) and is dependant upon the following:

1) What kind of shape are the transom and deck in? Any kind of softness/moisture in either?

2) Is the transom open or closed?

3) What kind of shape is the wiring in?

4) What kind shape is the gas tank in?

5) What kind of shape is the hydraulic steering in?

6) Does the boat have trim tabs? If so, are they working?

7) What does the boat come with (electronics, t top, trailer and etc)?

8) Is the boat rigged for an engine or not?

BTW, I am pretty sure that 1985 was a fine year. I will let the site's real experts chime in.

Peter,
The hull has a blown engine , I plan to close up the transom, put a bracket on it and use a existing 225 opti-max engine that is coming off another boat. I run Delaware and do alot of chucking for tuna so I want the closed transom. Quick question how is the 23 on anchor?
Thanks for the reply, Ed

This is what the ABOS Electronic Blue Book 2007 listed (so these are last years prices).

Hull only...Wholesale low=2610
Wholesale High=4070
Retail=5130

As we all know these are just guides. However it should get you into the ball game.

My 23' is fine on the anchor. I have done it many times in up to 100 feet of water and 10 to 15 miles of shore.

If you are chunking for tuna 50 miles off in 150+ feet plus and it gets real snotty that would cause me to sweat a little (I would probely tie off to a lobster pot)

If you have any pictures and an asking price the people on this great web site, will give you csome great feedback at to what they think you should pay. Your call.
