grgmouse...i pretty much copied Strick and the others here on the transom rebuild. Closed cell foam and then covered it with woven/roven. I don't know all the technical names for each individual piece of Mat/Cloth etc. I just show up at the fiberglass house with a checkbook and legal tablet. I think you could drop this boat stern first on concrete and it woouldn't budge though. Here are a few pics I tought I had already included.
   Blue...I think I am going to build those seats up to the gunnels with hatches on top.
