Picked up a load of gag grouper yesterday, but no camera to take pics with. Also brought to the boat three Lemon sharks, all between 10 and 30 lbs, and one 50-60 lb Jewfish, uhh, Goliath grouper.
BTW, For those that don't know, Lemon sharks are incredibly good when grilled up right!

We kept just two grouper and one Lemon shark to make dinner with.

We were fishing the old bridge rubble at N28*47.450 W83*03.400 about 15 miles off Fort Island, and never saw another boat out there, even though the fish were biting like they were starving. It was the best bite I've experienced in six or seven years.

Here we go...........Check those trailers, people!!!! Less than 3 weeks away!! I was in Clearwater all week for insurance classes and drove over the Skyway Bridge 2X per day. Gotta say, there were boats everywhere fishing off the St. Pete causeway yesterday AM. Good bite going on.

Yep Kings are in - grouper are in the channel and monster mango's at the bridge. Macks are just a pain there are so many, even some some Tarpon all within 10 minutes of the campground. Reds are off the hook, finding slot fish seems to be an issue as all are over, bait is everywhere on every flat. Wind has been blowing a tad but honest this place has so many islands it can't blow from anywhere and too hard not to find a nice spot.

Just Curious are you allowed to anchor up and camp on the boat near the park, and is anyone planning on doing this? I have been promising the Hunny that we would camp on the boat and this would be ideal as it is not too far a run for us. Also anyone driving there boat there from the north pasco or citrus area?

I'll be anchored/tied off Skip & Carla's site this time; I think it may be right next to yours. Denny

The seawall is great for that, bathrooms are just a step off the boat thing. As far as driving down its and easy protected run on the ICW, although if possible go out at CLW Pass to the outside and back in at Johns Pass or depending on weather right to Bounces. The idle zone south of Clw Pass will get old not even any places to stop and have a drink.
