Default Glass for flooring

We are trying to get a feel for material for when we do the new deck on the 23.

We have plenty of 1708, which we will probably use for the underside since it's out of site.

What kind of cloth or layup schedule should we use on the topsides to help with ease of finishing? When it's done, we will probably paint with AWLGRIP.

Default Re: Glass for flooring

To be honest I can not remember, but I used the glass with mat on one side and finishing on the other. Can't remeber the number. Then another layer of mat on top of that to make sanding it smooth easier. I ended up using about 7 or 8 gallons of resin. The thicker the resin the easier it is to sand and get the floor level without alot of pockets. Sanding it is a job though. And this was on a 23, from the fish box to the transom. Three sheets of marine grade ply.
