Kernal, that boat is so sick. i saw you guys fishin off p-town pickin up some bluefish, then runnin out to the SW corner. i was on a 31' jc. it was pretty sloppy out, i would say 4'-7'+ seas, and the boat looked like she handled it great!

Chris,

I remember that day, the kid I was fishing with was impressed, he has a 22 Whaler and besides the pounding he would have taken, I only used 25 gallons, where he said he would have used 65 gallons or more.(2-stoke Johnson). I did not get anything that day, did you?

Were you fishing on Nov 10 Off of Chatham? Here is a video the guy fishing next to me made, I caught a Giant that day, and mine dressed at 600lbs, so it must have been close to 800. It was a little sloppy that day, (I Think Small craft were up) my boat took it well, even with almost 1000.00 pounds of Fish and ice in the front hatch. I am thinking about going tomorrow.

My brother loaded a video of the unloading of my fish; he was having some fun with the narration. He kept turning the video on and off so there were a few of them.

Kernel,

Impressive boat, and very impressive video. What a fish! Reminds me of when we swordfish, but the swordfish aren't that big...yet/hopefully.

Great adaptation with the pilot house. Got heating from the diesel? Great videos. Thanks for sharing them

No Kernel we didnt land anything that day. after we ran out of bluefish and chum we chased some footballs around for fun. had a hundred +/- pounder on a spinning rod but my buddy broke it off after around ten minutes. no i didnt make it to the southside at all this year. glad you picked one up in that big bite tho. Again that 27 of yours is an awesome boat.

Thanks Chris,

I would be happy to take you fishing, especially up North, I rarely fish that area. As for the heat question from the previous posting, I do have a Volvo Penta heater, but I have not hooked it up yet. It seems to get warm enough with just heat from the engine, I am afraid if it got any warmer, I may never leave the Pilot House to fish.

I may go look around when I get back from Vegas this weekend, I think there may still be a few Tuna around off of Chatham.

Dan,
Let us know if you do get out there and find them! It's too cold for my cc Maritime Skiff, and the new Sceptre won't be ready till spring, but your next big bluefin might still be out there. You might be wishing that heater was hooked up though. Good luck!
