Thanks Gilly, that one all the other decent elbows I see are 1" or 1-1/4", not 1-1/8". May just have to go with a straight fitting which there are plenty of and try to get the hose in there.

I may be mistaken but I think the measurement given for the elbow fitting (1") would be its inside diameter. It's gotta have some thickness to support a hose clamp so its outside diameter is probably right about 1-1/8". The 1-1/8" bilge hose should have a snug fit over the barbed nipple for clamping. Hope I didn't over think this ![]()

I went to the specs at the Groco web site, actually you have to be careful. The elbows like you found - the pipe OD matches up with hose ID.
For the straight through hull fittings you can order either of 2 models for each fitting size. For example the 1" straight fitting has two models, one for 1" hose the other for 1-1/8" hose. Go figure. |
