During the Middle Ages, gravlax was made by fishermen, who salted the salmon and lightly fermented it by burying it in the sand above the high-tide line. The word gravlax comes from the Scandinavian word grav, which means literally "grave" or "hole in the ground" (in Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and Estonian), and lax (or laks), which means "salmon", thus gravlax is "salmon dug into the ground".

I was at a gun show yesterday in Crystal River. One vendor came with 3 cases (36 boxes of JHP w/50 rds ea.) of russian .45 ACP ammo, and at sold out in less than an hour. I didn't buy any, but the price was only $20 a box.

I sure wish I could get free to go to the keys.

Man-o-man it is coming up quick...
I was thinking that instead of steamed shrimp...
that we try fresh bacon and pulled pork for our
cook-out.
These little guys have been hanging around my back
