Default Re: 99% done with my 20ft MA project

Thank you for the comments.

Strick, I actually got the idea from your postings on how to do the inside panels using the outside curvature of the boat. However, I did not want to drill holes thru the hull and this is why I use wedges and clamps to hold the panels in place. I used a combination of mat, resin and cabosil for permanent bonding.

I will be breaking in the engine over the next few days and hope to do WOT over the weekend in Biscayne Bay, have cold ones at the sand bar in Elios Key....and take those water shots with some of my Brazilian model friends...lol..

Rob

Very very nice job, on the prop I would guess a 17 would be the number

I just tried a 17" prop yesterday and the max RPM I got was 4500. I will trying a 19 this Friday, hoping it'll be the right one.

I hope that was a typo. 4500 is too low for rpms.

you're right Frank. After breaking in the engine a bit more, I was able to bring her up to 5300 rpm, hitting 46 mph. I hope to get a little more this weekend with WOT. Bu the way, I was using a 17' SS prop.
