Sorry to read of your boat going under.
I hope you were able to raise her quickly.
Bilge pump failure or weather? Or punk ass vandals? either way it $ucks.

Do not try to run the motor.
The salvage process is very important and much may be saved and be little worse for wear.

especially Fr. Franks and bitsamonkey's advice. Do not try to run it until you've gone through the motor as recommended. If you have a shop manual for your motor/drive review the section on salvaging after complete immersion/submersion. Good luck man.
Glad to hear you got some good gains in speed and a little rpm. 38 is pretty good for a 200 with so much wind resistance. Also, a prop change will get you the balance of the missing rpms. Still curious to see if the black max lets you wind it up a little more. I think however the Apollo will be faster at top end. Check your thru hulls and scuppers for water intrusion through corrosion or broken seals.
