Gojo or similar hand cleaner. Especially for your hair. Then wash normally after. I tell you this from experience. That hydraulic s__t sticks like paraffin wax. My case was the hyd. hose on a Mercury inline 6 T&T system.

1981 mercury 70 hp , not even my boat , the bosses. He wanted me to check it out before he carried it to Kerr Lake .
The piss hole has no water coming out , smoke coming from every where under the cowling after 2 minutes in the pond in .my front yard. It's on a Cape Fear Skiff , looks to be a whaler copy . I say trash the motor and upgrade to newer 4 stroke.

Is it the inner liner of the hose or the hydraulic fluid that you refer to?

I need to change my hoses on my inline 6 (2 up 2 down) anyone have some laying around in your sheds? Let me know.

I may have a couple of braided stainless lines around, if my wife didn't throw them out.
