thanks for that tip...i am gonna spray the unit down this eve with crc 656 cleaner front and back, see if helps. its getting power and ground is good. its worth a shot. prob cost me $$ though . i would love to have 198c for backup. funniest part was half way to stellwagon off truro from wellfleet harbor, and called off the trip with no gps. drifting while troubleshooting, and lo and behold tuna footballs turn up around the boat. they refused to bite though but made for some excitement among the 2 friends whom never seen tuna. anyhow this is a good excuse for an upgrade that my fiance is on board with.
