Default Fuel Tank Cleaner

Anybody got a product they would recommend for cleaning out fuel tanks with varnish in them? I'm thinking something like carburetor cleaner, but in a jug instead of a spray can. I'll probably need several gallons.
Thanks,
Dave

Carry a spare filter and strap wrench. I`m on my 3rd after 75 hrs. 1st one was lllllloaded w/ what looked like raw sewage after 30 hrs.

If you have a local raditor shop they should be able to foam the tank for cleaning it. Also Discount Auto and
Autozone carry a carb cleaner in gallon cans that will
wash away the varnish.

Thanks, guys. I've got them out of the boat, so the gallon size carb cleaner looks like the way to go. Unless they've got it in a 5 gal can... I'll check at Discount Auto Parts on the way home.

After you get them cleaned inside, use a putty knife and stainless wire brush to clean the outside. Then pressure test the tanks. They do look like they have corrosion.

Yep. Just a thin layer, 10oz. cloth and epoxy laminating resin.
