They all have their advantages and disadvantages. Find a leaning post that you like and have a backrest made that slides into the rod holders so it can be removed. I think I saw one online awhile back that was set up this way. That would take care of 2 issues. Ultimately, you have to decide what's going to serve you best for your style of boating. I stand while driving and fishing most of the time. Good luck with the search.
