Go w/ 250 4 stroke, that would be the "cherry on top!"

watch out for those yamaha 225/250 four strokes . . . keep that 2 stroke alive as long as you can.

What is that? Appeared to be corroded all the way through.

That's the underside of a Yamaha F225/F250 adapter plate. Just do a search Yamaha F225/F250 corrosion. There more complaints than you'll want to read. Some motors as late as 2007 are having major internal corrosion. Apparently even the motors after 2004 when they made a change to the metal casting are rotting out. Not what you'd expect for a 20K motor.
