Good marine VHF link
Rather than further hijacking the SPOT thread, I thought many might find this link useful when addressing marine VHF concerns. I believe it was oringinally published by PBR in '07:

FTR, I have the Shakespeare 5206 from West Marine, purchased in '07 but it was $45, not $36. They sell 8000 series antennas now.
