Default Re: Need Some Serious Help... Solution found?

Just a FYI and Update.

The last few days have been in the 70's and night temps only in the 60's.

Laid up some glass on Wed. and when I checked it yesterday it came out great. So temps. were the killer.

The factory rep. also gave me a tip I would like to pass on. Now you may be doing this and so no big deal but I wasn't and I could see where some problems could show up occasionally.

TIP: Mix your resin and hardener together in a separate container. After well mixed then transfer this to your application container.

I use to just mix everything up in a aluminum turkey pan and apply from there. The reason not to do this way according to the rep. was that you can and will get spots of resin on the side of the container that are not thoroughly mixed in, and when laying up on your glass you will get soft spots.

Since I save just about every size bleach bottle and milk jug, this seems like a real good idea to me, and does not cost any extra.
