Free Rub Rail
If any one wants it, its yours free But you need to pick it up Im not going to ship this one.
I just came back with a new Taco rub rail with the Stainless Steel insert. Im tying to keep up with Mr. Gucci ride north of me in Stuart. I guess this is the original rub rail that makes it 34 years old. Still works good but is showing its age. You can apply coats of that Black out for car rubber bumpers and bring it back to looking OK. Its the flexible rub rail with a rubber insert. On my 23' CC FellowShip . Re: Free Rub Rail
We spoke a couple of months ago, I have a 23cc 1976 that I am restoring. I am interested in where you got the livewell that you put in the floor when you moved your gas tank foward. I am going to do the same.
Thanks, George |

Re: Free Rub Rail
Hi George
I made it, I needed a custom fit for the spot I used. SeaCraft made them for the newer boats but there were none on the market Soooo a little bit of fiberglass and a little bit of epoxy and one week later Livewell. I first extended my gas tank deck then measured from that deck to the bottom of the boat deck that I was re doing at the time and used the tank as part of the support for the boats deck. its about 35 Gal. or so. I can blacken in out with bait and they will all stay alive. Only problem is at the end of the day trying to catch the last 6 or so pilchards them mothers are fast. FellowShip . Re: Free Rub Rail
I will post some pictures for you guys, But I did not do a ongoing pictorial documentation of my boat project. When I started the rebuild back in April of 2001 I didnt even have a digital camera and this web sight didnt get started until a few months later. Things have changed a lot since then and the documentation of some guys like Strick are truly amazing. Guys that are rebuilding their boats today have tremendous visual references of how to do it compared to what I had to work with.

Re: Free Rub Rail
My tank is 37 Gal. the measurements are 14.5 H X 18 W X 33 Long port to starboard.
Here are some Pictures. The big hole on the left is the Tank overflow drain hole. Small one in center is Bilge. The small on on the right is the tank drain at the end of the day. Picture of the scoop, cut off valve and live bait pump with hose that filles the tank. Picture 3 & 4 are the overflow hose from tank to transom. Overflow from inside of tank with small screen to keep bait fish from getting sucked into the hose. End of day drain from tank with its own cut off valve going to the transom Fill hose line in tank from live bait pump. Inside of tank and end of day drain. Tank hatch with round plexglass insert for light so bait can see where they are swimming. FellowShip . Just for the Grins Official Antique Classic SeaCraft Owner |
