Thanks for the kind words guys.
Boat is back at my house with the t-top on and boy does she look sexy. ![]() As it said on my contract with the builder its a "Custom Cobia Tower", and if you can't spot a cobia from up there you can spot one. It's a little taller than I imagined but I had it installed only to spot from/troll from in good conditions, would never consider running from up there. I'm really happy with how she looks. The back two legs of the crow's nest disconnect and it folds forward for trailering (2" below required height but I ain't going under anything with only 2" clearance). ![]() Boat load more pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ebox ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The tower has (6) legs that bolt into the floor, these go into the 3/8" Aluminum plate that was epoxied under the deck. Then there are (4) connection points on the console (two on front two on sides), each one has a backing plate. ![]() The two connections on the sides of the console are open on the inside and are the cable chases. ![]() Now that all the subcontracted out work is done on her, its time for me to put her back together again. Long hot weekend ahead of me. Started last night with the leaning post, freshly reupholstered. ![]() ![]() |

You have done a really nice job on the boat. That tower is going to be the best seat in the house. Keep up the good work.

Thermometer in the truck was reading 113 on the black top this weekend, and I was out working on the SeaCraft, can't just let her be 95% finished and just sit. Consumed around 5 gallons of unsweet tea and pee'd once.
Got a lot done this weekend, or at least I'm telling myself that. Going around Sunday afternoon and taking pictures of what had been completed it seems like I barely did anything, but between the breaks for the heat and running up to the hardware store 15 times per day a good deal of work gone done, and a major milestone (at least for me) got done, the rub rail. To everyone on here who installs a rub rail by themselves, you are my hero, especially a rigid vinyl one. It was like wrestling with a 300lb man after it being coiled up for 4 months. Let it sit in the sun all day, was almost too hot to pick up, but still it kicked our asses and refused to go the way it needed to go. Got it done though, and man does it tie the boat together. Couple of install and finish pics. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() All the screws that went anywhere near the transom got a good dip in 5200 before going in. ![]() Pull-up cleats ![]() ![]() Bow hardware mounted ![]() ![]() ![]() Antennas mounted on hardtop VHF ![]() Sirius Marine Weather/Radio ![]() Gas fill installed/plumbed/vented/grounded ![]() Reflection in the side of console ![]() ![]() Front speakers ![]() Teak crab chairs in the backyard watching the progress ![]() That's all I got for now, gonna find time this week to do non-skid on the deck/gunwhales, then I'll feel like I'm close. |

I know you're tired of the same comment, but, AWESOME! Love the T-top. You should be wetting her hiney in a week or two, right? You'll enjoy her! Look out cobia!
