What I like about the Floscan is it allows me to make trim adjustments and watch as the engine RPM's rise and boat speed go up at the same time as fuel burn goes down. Then as you pass the optimum set the RPM's start to go down and fuel use goes back up letting me know right where to set trim for best GPH. It's a nice tool to have.

I bought the 5500 cruisemaster series.It has a needle gauge showing GPH and a digital display showing gallons used.
The also have more sophisticated all digital models that incorporate a tachometer and other data.but the cruisemaster was a lot less money and fit the bill for my use.
