I'm 35 miles due north of Boston. We got a little rain, sometimes intense for short 10-20 min. bursts and very little wind. I saw maybe 20knots max for brief periods.

Everyone I have spoken to agrees there was more hot air before the storm from the media than ever showed up with Earl. Oh well; better safe than sorry, I suppose.

Yeah, our Tampa area weather men get a "woodie" as soon as the storm is named. Just kills them when it fizzles out to nothing serious....it's like they are no longer the star of the local news cast.

Local news was still milking this thing this morning. Gotta make something out of nothing.

We are on MV Mass. and downgraded it from an Earl to a Mr.Rogers. Had higher winds and rain last week. It did manage to turn off the fish for a few days. Got to keep the Weather Channel in business.
