I guess it's time for an up date. We are getting very close to starting up the engine. Hopefully within the next few days. I've been keeping busy with lots of little projects.

Bow pulpit

Emblems are affixed to the hull!

backing for the bolsters. Two good coats of epoxy to help seal them

finally got my vacuum gauge in so that completes the gauge panel

Furuno 1650 that I bought from Ron Brooks. It is connected to an Airmar B60. Thanks to Rich at cape marine for that.

Wiring is roughed in. Everything works but I still have to tidy it up a lot more.

Engine compartment

Heat shield/insulation

VHF

Frame for Bimini top/enclosure. It will be a full enclosure that comes down to the back of the seat boxes, side curtains etc...

duo props are mounted

More Alaska shots

Nice Chucky!! Boat looks absolutely beautiful. All you are missing now is a heater for the winter sturgeon and A/C for those Baja trips.

Looks like you're getting close. Everything looks good. Any estimate on a launch date?

Thanks guys...We got the engine running tonight. I just got in. It runs good. RPM gauge is reading 1000 as soon as you turn the key to on and then jumps to 2000 as soon as you fire up the engine then stays at 2K. Trying to figure that out, Also the trim tabs were working properly but now have took a crap. manual says to hook up the trim tabs to the RPM gauge which is what I've done. Temp, volt, fuel, Oil pressure gauges all work properly. There are always a few bugs to work out so time providing tomorrow evening I'll try and trouble shoot. No leaks in any of the fuel or water lines so I'm happy. Motor purrs. still have to get the trim/tilt working and adjust the controls. Possible launch date is this weekend. I have a darn wedding to go to on Saturday.

The screw slots on Carla`s emblems are not lined up.

LOL Sandy You got me almost spilling my coffee on my lap this morning... I noticed that too but as you know it's the least of my worries. If the boat lists to one side then I'll fix it. No lake near the church. Bride and groom don't want to get married on a boat either

Not on a boat?

If that tank starts listing, just ask one of Finster`s bathing beauties to move to the other side.

Doc, have you considered writing the ultimate tome? Zen and the Art of Seacraft Restoration.

Don, we must respect our limitations.

Got it, need it, got it, need it, need it, got it, need it, need it, need it, need it, need it....

That boat is awesome, pulpit to swim platform!!

Speaking of listing...

When you get her on plane with a crew, you will be on the tabs like 90 but I regard that as normal in this boat. I'm curious to hear your comparison of the ride of the 23 and 25.

I hope you have something to say at the wedding when asked to speak now or forever hold your peace

Hey Sandy, I noticed that also, however with Strick's quality of workmanship versus mine there was no way I would bring that up. Anyway....I'm thinking they should be vertical.
