Installing New Fuel Fill Hose
I just finished coating my new tank with coal tar epoxy, so will need to install new hoses soon. After pulling the old rotted fuel fill hose out through the tank hatch, I don't even want to think about feeding a new one down. I mean, pulling this thing OUT around the bends was tough...how the heck do you feed a new one through? Any tricks? I would think a bonding wire wrapped around it will only make it even worse. Please help me mentally prepare...can it actually be done? How?

Re: Installing New Fuel Fill Hose
I cut a six inch hole in the side where the hose goes down -- right above the 90 degree where the hose goes underneath the deck. That way I had someone feed the hose down from the filler and stuck my hand in the hole to help guide the hose under the deck toward the tank. I installed a circular inspection hatch over the hole when I was done.

Re: Installing New Fuel Fill Hose
I did not pull my old hose out so I could use the old one like a snake to pull the new one through with.
It took two guys one pushing and the other pulling I went in from the gas fill side and pulled to the tank side. You could use the same approach with a smaller hose first and use a plastic fitting to attach the two together. Doing it this way prevents you from putting in a access hole in your boat. Re: Installing New Fuel Fill Hose
I left the old hose in the tank compartment, and used a plastic insert coupling pushed into the old hose and the new hose ends.
It was a very tight fit so no clamps were needed.I removed the filler port that still was attached to the old hose and pulled both through the filler end until the new hose end came thru. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be,I was ready for a nightmare job.It was one of my few lucky moments. Also I have a Tsunami not a cc so maybe it's not the same setup.

Re: Installing New Fuel Fill Hose
Same as fellow-ship and John123, also put some slippery stuff on the outside of the hose...dishwasher liquid...or something like it. Wasn't easy, but a second person and using the original to guide the new one were key.
