I have an '83 20'. If your deck is as close to the waterline as mine, I think you're going to find that for the below deck live well you will need your pump to pump it out, not to fill it. I have one of each and never use the one that pumps water in, just the one that pumps water out. I got a PVC fitting that plugs into the drain and allows water in, but won't let it drain below the top of the tube if you're on plane. Looks like this:



The ugly aluminum box in the corner hides a float switch that turns on the pump when the level gets close to the top. It works better than it looks
