Default Any themoset plastic gurus here?

I had given up actively searching for materials that met my criteria for spray rail production. My forehead was flat and I was frustrated.

I was reading an issue of floor covering weekly,{ yes I really am a carpetbagger} and came across an ad for flexible trim pieces for wood/laminate installs. I got some samples. Hmm.

It`s flexible, takes paint or stain, {teak please}can achieve a structural bond with adhesives, and it can be cast molded. Whoo Hooo. My forehead is getting rounder.

Thanks for any help and insight,
GFS

Sandy

Go to Barbour Plastics and get a 20' piece already molded and ready to paint under $200 clams. I'll help you cover them and your flat forehead with Signature Finish

BTW: I got my rub rail from them

Hey Sandy,
Someone has been down this road before, they used to go under "Smart Rail", not sure if they are still under that moniker or have moved on, aneyhoo, theirs was a good product, fastened on with some super duper 3m glue stuff, I was thinking on putting some on the trawler, supposed to make em go faster! Maybe that was a sales gimic. The product had a good look and feel to it.

Ole,
I spoke with him last fall. He wants 1200 clams per set. :shocked

Mark @ Barbour makes them for him. 3M spent a year on the secret adhesive.

Displacement hulls do seem to gain performance and efficiency. Most of the Down East hulls have them.

My plan is to use the rails I got from you for plugs and pop a mold. Could the profile be improved?

You should be getting a call on a 22 Whaler lookin` for paint down your way. He loved your brochure.

Sandy,
I did get the call, thank you, he may have had a little sticker shock, also someone up thataways could do it cheaper, but thanks for the refer!
yea, the Smart Rails weren't cheap, when they first came out they were like $400, I sure they have some Patent applied for them also.

SeaCraft Island!

Almost finished w/ the plug that I Gatored. Do you shoot gelcoat? Dan @ FG1 does , but it`s his least favorite job.
I am getting a pro to do this, so I don`t get sent to band camp.
