inboard floor scuppers

Just did them this weekend on my 23'. They were plastic and I just liked the idea of brass much better. I ran into a little bit of difficulty because the holes were bigger than the new 1" Moeller drain tubes I had bought as replacements. $100 worth of West Systems epoxy, Hardner, and some small fiberglass patches and I was on my way. I ended up sanding of the surrounding bottom paint on the hull around the holes and then epoxied the patches and let dry. The next morning I mixxed up another batch of epoxy and poured that into the holes and added another patch of glass up top. Saturday it was all hardened and drilled out brand new holes using a 1" drill bit. I dry fitted the tubes in place. Measured where I would cut them. Cut both to length using a standard pluming tube cutter and used a generous amount of 5200 and pushed them into the holes. then I used the special $42 flanging tool needed to flange the cut end of the pipe and was done. Whole process took 3 days to pull off (I was working outside and I'm in MA) and cost around $150 for everything.
