Rule #3 in buying any vehicle or vessel: You must be willing to walk away.

Unless it's a Moesly 21 that that you've only seen in thumbnail pics that is 2000 miles away

Fred, if your gut feeling was telling you to walk away, that means you were at least subconsciously aware that it wasn't a good deal.

Fred gotta call you on this one - the gut feeling was the broom handle your wife was poking your belly with.

Out of nearly 100 purchased, I have only twice in 42 years sold a vessel or vehicle at a loss.

No offense to anyone, mon frere, but you sure you ain't working at a Synagogue...

For both those purchases, my gut told me to walk away, but I wanted them too much to do that. One was a '67 Maserati Merak I purchased from my cousin in '79, and one was a Wellcraft 255 Suncruiser

The Merak was ugly but hey - it was a Maserati... the Suncruiser - well I'm gonna guess you were under the influence...
