Default Re: Moesly 21...First Test Run...Movies !

Last Ride impressions...took a 40 mile round trip out in the Gulf on Monday and it is hard for me to believe that a hull that is almost 50 years old rides so well. Never a hard landing and very dry.

The only thing I don't like so far is that docking it seems to be a challenge.

Unlike other hulls you could usually charge the dock, put it in reverse and slide right in. Not so with the 21. Put it in reverse and it pretends its got a keel. Need to take a shallow angle and then let the back end come in.

At speed over 40 when you start to make a turn the hull seems like it is on ice, just starts to slide around. The prop is not breaking loose and it isn't squirrely, but something to keep in the back of your mind so you don't do something real stupid.

Boat is now going up on stands til it gets done and painted.

If I don't do it now...No Bones is right down to the Depot for some Cameo paint.
