I was told that the paint was on the boat when the previous owner bought it in 1996-97 timeframe. He kept it on a lift in his backyard in Fort Myers Beach and said that the original owner had the boat in the Great Lakes (if I recall correctly) and then moved it to Sanibel Island and kept it on a lift in both locations. Since I've had the boat its been on the trailer, that I know for certain.
This was the information I received from the second owner, hopefully it's creditable (he was a Law Enforcement Officer in the Fort Myers area). I do have more pictures if you'd like me to send them your way for your friend. |

Here's the post from when I bought it back in 2007.

The guy, a family member, has decided not to buy a boat at this point, although this appears to me anyway an excellent buy IMHO - between the trailer and motor seems pretty much a free boat

I wouldn't say I didn't get beat up, but it wasn't doing me any good sitting around and paying insurance and storage fees. Bottom line is the new owner got a screaming deal, as the gentleman who picked it up for him told me already. At least I know it's going to a good home and a father and his young son can build their memories with it.
