ha! I wish I knew the recipe for Potter Putty. Just a wild guess . . . I would say Poly and Talc, because it has some weight to it. Poly and cabosil is much lighter and I'm not so sure cabosil was popular in 1972? I know talc was and it's cheap!!! Potter putty doesn't have any chopped strand as far as I can tell, but if it did I think it'd be virtually indestructible.
