My older sister Piffin {I Know}, took a year off from school and went to Germany to work as a governess for a doctor.
She had a hard time learning the language and was complaining that she wanted to come home for her 21st. birthday. Papa told her that his best friend and tail gunner died in his arms on his birthday. He told her to learn the language and culture and she would be great. He was right. Papa died behind the Iron Curtain before it fell. It took me some time to get some personal items back.
