A salute to all who serve or have served!

This year was the first year in the last few my other half (Army Vet) and I haven't gone to Arlington for Veterans day. Feels strange not going.

They choose to serve and risk their lives, their families and (sadly) the respect of some of us are do too ignorant to realize what it is they do and how lucky we are that we have them who will sacarfice as they do.

Let our thoughts and appreciation of Veteran's Day be on our lips when we encounter them during their times in civilian life. Not being one of them is the biggest regret of my life, period!

Robert McNamara is/was a war criminal!!!!!

My older sister Piffin {I Know}, took a year off from school and went to Germany to work as a governess for a doctor.

She had a hard time learning the language and was complaining that she wanted to come home for her 21st. birthday.

Papa told her that his best friend and tail gunner died in his arms on his birthday.

He told her to learn the language and culture and she would be great. He was right.

Papa died behind the Iron Curtain before it fell. It took me some time to get some personal items back.

Thanks,
GFS
