Default props and years

i was wondering if a newer prop off a say 2002 would fit on and older motor say 87 maybe 90 same kinda motor evinrude 140s

I just put a 2011 prop on a 1966 mercruiser so I really don't see a problem with your application. Also put a 2009 prop on an '83 115 hp.

If the splines fit the hub and you can tighten the lock nut down, and the prop doesn't hit the motor housing or the trim anode, it shouldn't be a problem. Dozens of websites can give you compatibility for your prop or motor.
