250 zuke on that boat is not a dog! I've been on nat chalkley's boat with a Limit of bass (600lbs ish) and water over flowing out of the fish box . . . That boat blasts through 3ft chop without any trouble 30 - 35mph cruise fully loaded.

Loaded with 80 gallons, 2 people, 400lb pilot house, and 25hp kicker, My old single 1979 2.4L 200 merc 15P prop my 23 cruises at 27/28mph tops out at 38/39 mph and jumps on a plane no problem. You have 2.5L EFI mercs which are quite a bit more powerful than my old vertical reed piston ported motor. These boats don't need a ton of power. 250hp is plenty to move that boat into the mid 40's and cruise at 30
