Patience pays. They're hard to find, but one will turn up eventually.

Patience kept me from breaking my ears on my Motah. That would be mine.

A month of Sundays can be more productive than a big get it done now please.

Cheers,
GFS

Thanks Gang!

Had one of those days we love yesterday. Someone fed the fishy gremlins after midnight and that created wonderful mahem. All boated yesterday. Spanish,Kings,Yt`s, Muttons, Rainbows, and a very nice Cobia. 44" to the fork.

Luck had me making 50# flouro leaders with circle hooks which I am enjoying more and more. As I got it close, I saw a large shadow under my dinner. No. I lost 3 last spring and had to choose quickly. My growing faith in circles not being tossed made my decision.
Freespool.

I let it run about 50 yds out and put the ole 4/0 back in gear. Let`s try this again. I was winding for a while and a little tense. Now I came tight again and back to the boat. No shadow so far. Mark stuck the gaff and went to swing it in and he seemed to misjudge the weight and attitude. The Cobia blew up. Even the East German judges would have been impressed. Off the gaff and someone yelled freespool. Really? Who set this baitin` machine up anyway. Shh.

Now my thoughts are upsetting. Guys, relax and please wait for my line to pass before you stick it. I may not have said please. As my thumb is getting hotter, I put it in gear.I can feel worry. Ok. Jesse get the hand gaff and let`s double stick em. The shadows are gone and they both hit the shoulder and waddle to the box. One slacker hinge pulled at some point later during the thrashing.

Still breaking things,
GFS
