In NC, the shop owner where it's stored can file a mechanic's lein on it and after 30 days, he assumes ownership for nonpayment from the customer that left it. You have to pay for the paperwork and filing and, of course, whatever the seller requires. Don't know if they do that where you are, though.

When I bought the 27 Seamaster on Ebay 2 years ago for $305.00
There was no title... It had a Florida registration number which we tracked down to dead people!! ![]() There are companies that specialize in title work. It cost me $200 clams, but as it worked out I'm titled as the original owner from 1968 at the age of 14.... ![]() These services range from $200 to $400 just Google it... Good luck,
